Hi Blackout, could I call your attention to my post: http://fogproject.org/forum/threads/unable-to-start-task-unable-to-connect-to-tftp-server.1207/ I have 2 apparently unrelated TFTP issues. I need to do a deployment NOW in the next few days to 30 school clients and deperately need a solution or I will be forced to buy more ghost licenses. I'm fed up with ghost and would much rather use FOG.
2nd time ive reinstalled fog and the images are currupting?? or at least shall I say, fog clones a certain percent then fails HELP Lee
all seems to be good at the moment (touch wood) Ive have found at least 2 bugs if you would like to know about them. 1) when renaming a machine, it will rename the machine once renamed in fog, but doesn't rejoin to the domain. 2) pc's have problems rebooting after cloning, I have tried reboot=bios and reboot = a, b, k, p in the kernel arguements.
would be great if active directory computer names could link with fog, so if any machines get deleted / renamed in active directory it deletes / renames them in fog. thanks Lee
Everything works fine on our FOG server which is .29 enabling Green FOG and scheduling a shutdown time doesn't shut down logged off computers which are mostly Windows XP
Hi Blackout, I have recently installed and setup a Fog server Now I'd like to change the directory in /images/ to my external usb hdd, I did followed the instructions ( http://www.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php?title=Change_NFS_location ) but it didn't work. Please help me to solve that issue Thank you so much
Hey Blackout. When the forums were on SourceForge, one of the (many!) bugs I noticed was that I wasn't getting notifications when people posted on threads I was subscribed to. I wanted to stay in better touch, so I enabled "send me notification for every post on the forum," which is why I've been so active on the SourceForge forums. Is there a way to email me each time a post is made on fogproject.org?
I don't think so Mike. Try using the 'What's New' feature, it displays all new threads and posts in chronological order.
Love the fog project. I am writing up a tutorial on how to install a FOG storage node on an Iomega home media NAS drive. I was wondering if you would be interested in posting it on the howto section of the fourm. Kris Crawford
